Additional Information

Brittany is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Pathways Community Living, an agency dedicated to providing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. Pathways offers residential, behavioral, culinary, vocational, and community participation services. Hawkins is responsible for providing oversight for all daily operations of Pathways Community Living; including strategic planning, maintaining accreditation, program development, and creating partnerships and alliances with the community.

Prior to founding Pathways Community Living, Hawkins worked as a family-based clinician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s (UPMC) Western Psychiatric Hospital. She provided therapeutic services, in the home and community, to families of children and adolescents with severe psychiatric disorders. While she was with UPMC, she completed a three-year clinical training program in structural family therapy and was selected to become specialized in OCD treatment and intervention.
