The HHD Career Fair is open to all Penn State students and recent graduates. Please bring your student ID with you as you will need to scan your ID to enter the event. There is no pre-registration. Please note, this event is located in downtown State College and not at the HUB Robeson Center located on campus.

Review your resume

Take advantage of scheduling an appointment with Central Career Services via Nittany Lion Careers or walk in for a drop-in resume review appointment. Drop in hours are M-F 10am-4pm

Research the companies

Review the organizations and recruiters who have registered and familiarize yourself with the company vision and mission statements. Identify the recruiters you know you want to meet with during the fair and prioritize your time once you arrive at the fair. Be ready to explain your goals and career ambitions with the recruiters.

Plan your attire

A first impression goes a long way. Business professional or business casual is recommended, and don't forget your smile. To learn more about planning your attire for the fair check out this resource. Need an outfit? Find a suit to wear at the Professional Attire Closet.

Practice your introduction

You can tailor your introduction based on each company and information you find. Remember to practice in front of a mirror, with friends and campus career offices. You can include some of the bullet points below.

  • Name
  • Semester standing
  • Major
  • Opportunities that you are seeking
  • Relevant experience (work, internship, volunteer work)
  • Highlights of skills and strengths
  • Knowledge of the company

Follow up with questions you have for the company based on your research. For example, "Could you tell me more about the sales leadership development program?"

Know where you are going

The Eric J. Barron Innovation HUB is just minutes from campus. Please note, this is not the HUB Robeson Center located on campus. Once inside the lobby of the building you will be directed to the 6th floor for the fair.
