Leveraging Penn State’s world-renowned research facilities and training sites, we are able to closely examine how people engage in recreation and how it improves their lives and the lives of others.
Our main facilities provide exclusive opportunities for a wide range of research initiatives within the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management:
Spearheading unique research initiatives in conjunction with exclusive industry partnerships and professional relationships that simply don’t exist at other universities, RPTM’s world-renowned research team is committed to developing an ever-expanding understanding of the social, environmental, psychological, and economic aspects of human behavior in relation to the experience and delivery of a broad array of leisure activities and pursuits.
