Danielle Manni

Danielle Manni

3rd-Year Student

Hi everyone! My name is Danielle Manni and I’m a third-year student at the University Park campus from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My major is Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies.

Outside of my major, I currently serve as the president of Alpha Xi Delta, member of a THON committee, Sign Language Organization, NSSHLA, and Penn State Lyrical Line Dance Company. As for my career goals, I plan on attending graduate school directly after my four years here at Penn State to study speech-language pathology. My ultimate goal is to end up working in a NICU setting. One thing that I want to learn more about while I’m at Penn State is stuttering and its causes!

Kylie Reisz

3rd-Year Student

Hello all! My name is Kylie Reisz and I am originally from the Pittsburgh area. Here I am majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minoring in Human Development and Family Studies with the intent of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist!

I have loved my undergrad experience so far; I have been able to serve as a Residence Assistant for other undergraduate students, been a member of a THON committee, Sign Language Org, NSSLHA, Navigators, and will be the Service Chair for HHD Honor Society for the next academic year. I also intend on restarting the NBASLH chapter on campus and volunteer at a CSD research lab this upcoming semester. My goal after my undergraduate degree is to gain a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology to later become a SLP working with pediatrics or geriatrics. I am excited to start this journey as a CSD Instagram Ambassador and to share my experiences with all of you!

This initiative highlights our Communication Sciences and Disorders major through the eyes of Danielle and Kylie. We encourage you to follow them, comment on posts, ask questions, and even offer to provide your own experience as a student.
