HHD will offer a co-curricular student leadership experience this spring for 3rd and 4th year students for a leadership skills cultivation program. Our collegewide program seeks a cohort of 30 students, with about 4 or 5 students representing each HHD academic unit.

Activities will comprise of:

  • 3 “Leadership In Action” travel days to meet local, regional, and state leaders working in private and public HHD related sectors (3 all day trips + brief reflection papers)
  • 1 student led project
  • Project presentations at the Undergraduate Exhibition held April 6-12 virtually and at the HUB
  • 1 end of year recognition event

An HHD Leadership badge may be earned by students satisfactorily completing reflective papers and presenting at the Exhibition.

2023 Travel Dates for all day (8-6 p.m.) field trips

  • Friday, January 20 (Shaver's Creek)
  • Friday, February 10 (tentative, Centre County)
  • Tuesday, March 28 (Harrisburg), Snow Date is Wednesday, March 29
